residents and site associates for an afternoon of unity, education, and celebration.
Residents were treated to a delicious array of foods consisting of hot dogs, cheeseburgers, meatballs, rice, seafood salad, baked beans, green beans, potato salad, and deviled eggs. Refreshing watermelon and sweet cupcakes were served for dessert.
The event brought together the children and grandchildren of those residing at the community to learn more about the historical significance of the holiday. A key highlight of the afternoon was an informative and compelling Juneteenth presentation prepared by resident Darlene Gilbert. Residents also received a Juneteenth-themed trinket as a giveaway gift.
The residents also had the pleasure of surprising one of their new fellow neighbors by celebrating her June 19 birthday with her family.
The resident’s contribution added depth and meaning to our gathering, reminding us of the importance of reflection, recognition, and continued progress.
Special thanks goes out to Senior Property Manager Nikki Jackson, Maintenance Supervisor Robert Fisher, Maintenance Apprentice Rodell McLaughlin, and Resident Services Manager Michele Mitchell who worked together to host a warm and welcoming cookout for all to enjoy.
Celebrations for culturally significant holidays strengthen a sense of community and reflect a shared commitment to honoring the past while building a more inclusive future.

which honored the residents with an evening of celebration, community, and phenomenal fashion.
Upon entry, residents were interviewed as they walked the red carpet and expressed what they were looking forward to during the awards, along with the designer they selected to wear. One resident said he was wearing a Givenchy suit and mentioned that he was excited to see all the winners.
Resident Services Senior Director of Programs and Performance Raven Willoughby hosted the awards soirée. The seniors were delighted that Willoughby was involved, with several thanking her for visiting the community and appreciating her presence.
Coldspring's maintenance team dressed in fancy shirts and sported bow ties while serving hors d'oeuvres consisting of meatballs, cheesesteak egg rolls, mac and cheese bites, and pigs in a blanket. For dessert, a decadent cake and cupcakes were served.
During the ceremony, residents were on the edge of their seats to see who would be winners of a coveted senior award, with a grand total of 10 presented. While accepting his award, 96-year-old Mr. Thomas cried and exclaimed, "this was the best day of my life."
Two surprise awards were given to residents that go above and beyond for their neighbors with gestures of kindness, including either making runs to the grocery store or numerous visits to ill neighbors.
The event concluded with music, dancing, and heartfelt gratitude to Coldspring's site associates for an elegant and exceptional event.
Special thanks to Property Manager Monique Oden, Assistant Property Manager Neicy Bowser, Resident Services Senior Director of Programs and Performance Raven Willoughby, Maintenance Supervisor William Irvin, and Porter James Jackson. When 67% of residents expressed an interest in health and wellness programs in Enterprise's most recent needs assessment, Park View at Ellicott City I & II responded with action. In June, the communities partnered with Giant Pharmacy to host on-site vaccine clinics bringing essential care directly to residents.
With a focus on accessibility and preventative care, the clinics brought a full range of vaccines and booster immunizations to residents by removing barriers like a lack of transportation or limited access to regular healthcare providers.
To ensure a smooth and organized experience, separate clinics were held in each building, minimizing wait times and making participation easy. Giant Pharmacy provided a range of vaccines including COVID-19 boosters, pneumonia, Tdap, Shingrix (shingles), RSV, and Hepatitis B. The use of the community room as the clinic site was both convenient and efficient, an arrangement many residents appreciated for its convenience.
As a senior community with a rich diversity of backgrounds, including a significant Korean-speaking population, Enterprise was especially pleased with Giant Pharmacy's commitment to inclusivity. The presence of a bilingual pharmacist helped ensure all residents felt informed and supported throughout the process, removing language barriers to care.
All interested residents had the opportunity to receive the vaccine of their choice, and the event was met with enthusiasm and gratitude. By making preventative care accessible and culturally responsive, Park View at Ellicott City continues to prioritize the health and well-being of its residents.
Special thanks to Giant Pharmacy for their partnership, and to our dedicated resident services and property management teams for coordinating successful clinics and bringing wellness within reach for residents.

strengthens relationships. Recently, through mutual acts of appreciation, Park View at Coldspring residents and associates were delighted to organize surprise afternoons of relaxation and lighthearted fun.
A Father's Day themed sports luncheon was the perfect opportunity to gather and celebrate the gentlemen in the community. Tasty bites including wings, fries, and cakes were served while streaming football, basketball, and baseball highlights. They played a variety of card games and even participated in a basketball tournament where the winner received a championship ring. Each attendee was gifted a card by the site associates and they thoroughly valued the kind gesture.
As an expression of gratitude for the site team, residents prepared a lunch consisting of crab cakes, potato salad, garden salad, and string beans. Homemade pound cake and banana cream pie for dessert had the team singing the praises of the residents for their phenomenal baking skills.
After lunch, a gift and note with kind remarks from the residents were presented to each of the associates. Anecdotes on how much they truly appreciate the team and how they love living in the community were shared leaving smiles on every face in the room.
“The entire team was shocked and surprised by the kind gesture, how beautiful and elegant the table setting was, as well as how delicious everything tasted. Each team member communicated how appreciative they were for such kindness displayed by the residents. Park View at Coldspring residents are the best,” said Park View at Coldspring Property Manager Monique Oden.

Enterprise kicked off summer with community, connection, and carefree fun!
Residents living at Columbia communities enjoyed a Safety & Wellness Summer Kick-Off event hosted by the teams supporting Legacy at Twin Rivers.
Designed to bring residents together and promote a fun, safe, and healthy start to the season, the event offered something for everyone—kids, adults, and families alike.
Young residents had a blast climbing aboard motorcycles with our local police and fire departments, diving into interactive video games, cooling off with snow cones, and getting their faces painted. Their joy and excitement set the tone for an afternoon of community spirit.
Adults connected with a wide range of community partners offering wellness resources, safety tips, and workforce development opportunities.
The excitement didn’t stop there—residents had the chance to win incredible raffle prizes including crockpots, wireless headphones, and even a big-screen TV! The raffle was a big hit and helped end the afternoon on a high note.
Whether through laughter, the sharing of new information and resources, or simply enjoying a sunny afternoon with shaved ice and good friends, the day reminded us of the importance of connection, support, and summer fun.
Special thanks to our dedicated community partners who helped make the day such a success:

Two weeks ago, residents at Park View at Laurel came together with local partners to breathe new life into the community garden. The restoration was led by (LARS)Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services, a longtime partner known for distributing food to residents through monthly deliveries. This time, their mission grew—literally—through a new initiative called Project G.R.O.W.
Short for Gardening to Reduce Our Worries, Project G.R.O.W. was designed to support food security while offering residents the chance to grow healthy, nourishing produce right at home. Through hands-on learning, residents volunteered their time to help rebuild the garden space, learning valuable gardening techniques and skills along the way.
During the restoration, LARS, Project G.R.O.W. staff, and resident volunteers installed trellises on Earth Boxes to prepare for vining plants. The energy was vibrant, and the excitement was shared by all—this wasn’t just a garden project, but a step toward wellness, connection, and sustainable community growth.
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who participated and contributed their time, energy, and expertise to make this restoration possible. Your efforts continue to help the Park View at Laurel community grow, in every sense of the word.

The Greens at Liberty Road recently hosted a community “Coffee Hour,” a welcoming event created by Property Manager Tashanna Ward to promote inclusiveness and strengthen connections among residents. To build a more supportive and engaged community, the informal gathering invited residents to come together over coffee and conversation.
The event allowed residents to meet, interact, and develop social bonds in a relaxed setting. While simple in format, the event reflected ongoing efforts to promote resident engagement and inclusivity. Such gatherings also serve as reminders that even small gestures can have a meaningful impact on overall community well-being.
Special thanks are extended to Tashanna Ward for organizing the event and to all residents and team members who contributed or participated. Their efforts continue to support a welcoming atmosphere at The Greens at Liberty Road and underscore the importance of inclusive, community-building initiatives.

soothing music and chatting with friends. In celebration of Mother's Day and in honor of all the incredible women in their community, the team at Park View at Randallstown treated residents to a special afternoon of painting, laughter, and connection.
Each artist received a canvas featuring the image of a beautiful woman to paint, along with an easel, smock, brushes, paint trays, and their choice of colors to create a piece they could proudly display in their apartment homes. The ladies complimented fellow tablemates throughout the afternoon, ensuring that everyone in attendance appreciated each artistic creation.
To accompany the activity, a delicious lunch was served including a variety of sandwiches, potato salad, coleslaw, cupcakes and sparkling cider. As a thoughtful surprise, each participant received a gift bag courtesy of the community's dedicated site.
“As a token of our appreciation, they were given hand lotion and chap stick," said Property Manager Corrine Sye. “Each lady expressed their gratitude and happiness and stated how this was a relaxing and stress-relieving event.”
Kudos to Sye and the associates at Park View at Randallstown for organizing a sip and paint for Mother's Day and sharing the artists' lovely creations. It was truly an enriching event to recognize and celebrate all the women who help make the community a place of pride, power and belonging everyday.

they're in for a treat and typically, a frozen one at that.
Both properties held community meetings early in the month that were well attended. Area Property Manager Sue Young was ecstatic at the turnout and loved seeing bright and shining smiles on the residents' faces.
“Our team had the opportunity to engage with 117 residents face to face over two days and we had a great time with them,” exclaimed Young! What an astounding accomplishment for the team!
With the weather ideal for outdoor activities, the Resident Services team, Community Development team, Howard County Recreation and Parks, and the site associates geared up for a great afternoon. Gift bag giveaways were of abundance for all while local resources were readily available to pick up at residents' leisure.
Kudos to Senior Manager of Resident Experience Dan Atzmon, Real Estate Development Manager Alex Hoffman, Howard County Recreation and Parks, Area Property Manager Young, Senior Property Manager Latonya Williams, Kona Ice, and the site associates. "We enjoy providing exciting events for residents to enjoy," exclaimed Property Manager Monique Oden!
For the talent portion of the afternoon, residents were invited to color Cinco de Mayo photos and decorate their own pair of maracas to shake in rhythm with music during the afternoon. Several games of pin the maraca on the cactus were played until one lucky winner won a nice bullet blender!
”Management does the best activities for us," shouted resident Ms. Yvonne Cannon.
Special thanks to Oden, Assistant Property Manager Neicy Bowser and the Park View at Coldspring team. We truly hope the site associates were able to provide an enjoyable Cinco de Mayo holiday.
