Thanksgiving dinner last Tuesday, as the opportunity to connect with their neighbors for the holiday season could not have been passed up.
Throughout the afternoon, about 60 residents were treated to fried chicken, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and green beans. They were served by volunteers including the families of current residents, prior residents and local non-profit organizations that the community regularly hosts for a variety of events.
The site team handed out note cards for the residents to write down what they were thankful for this year. To add a creative aspect to put the cards on display, the team made garlands of the cards to hang throughout the building to get into the giving spirit.

r 31 to celebrate 2021 and to welcome 2022! A variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, a cheese ball, tasty pastries, and a Happy New Year cake was served for the residents to enjoy.Residents were provided note cards and markers and were asked to post what they were most thankful for going into the new year. The notes were hung on a board in front of the community room, affectionately named the “What I Am Thankful for in 2022” board.
