To kick of National Fresh Fruits and Vegatables Month, Columbia community Owen Brown<\/a><\/a> held a Place Planting party! The Howard County Health Department<\/a> sponsored the event and assisted 150 residents with planting over 160 containers using a total of 950 plants. The residents participated in a fruit and green salad tasting and were offered a variety of vegetables and herbs including: sweet banana peppers, kale, chives, parsley, chamomile, marigolds, lettuce, spinach, and arugula.<\/p>\n
