In a heartwarming display of community spirit, 10 volunteers from the United Way of Central Maryland and Neighbors United gathered at Fall River Terrace<\/a> in Columbia, Md., for a day of landscaping, seasonal planting and neighborhood beautification. Volunteers were met with support and warm appreciation from residents. <\/p>\n

The Neighbors United initiative is led by Andy Masters, who brings valuable experience from a brief tenure with ECP. The Neighbors United initiative is currently focused on rejuvenating communities in Columbia, Mondawmin and Aberdeen. The initiative is in year one of a three-year community organizing effort. “We are looking forward to more engagement and impactful work together in Columbia as well as at Metro Heights and Highland Commons,” said Dan Atzmon, senior manager for resident experience.<\/p>\n

The collaboration between the community and United Way extends beyond beautification efforts. Residents have been introduced to United Way's Family Stability Program, with plans to explore further partnerships during the upcoming Rouse Season of Service.  Additionally, residents and the community have greatly benefited from United Way's STEP rental assistance program. <\/p>\n

The resident services team is already looking ahead to chart a course for future collaborations. The event at Fall River Terrace exemplifies the power of community engagement and underscores the importance of partnerships in fostering vibrant and resilient communities. As momentum builds, residents and volunteers alike look forward to the positive transformations that lie ahead. <\/p>\n
