Residents in senior communities are always open to new opportunities to learn and brush up on current computer skills. A few Westminster Overlook<\/a> residents decided to participate in a six-week course to learn the ins and outs of utilizing an HP Chromebrook for everyday tasks.   <\/p>\n

The training course was sponsored by the University of Maryland Extension Baltimore County Office<\/a><\/a>. Digital Literacy Educator Naimani taught the course at the community twice a week over the time period. The University of Maryland Extension Office has also provided additional support for residents by sharing a presentation on artificial intelligence, how it is being used in everyday advertising and determining content that is real vs fake. <\/p>\n

After the course was completed, the graduates received a basic computer training certificate and graduation cupcakes as a sweet treat.  <\/p>\n
