In June, the Cove Point I and Cove Point II Senior Apartments communities in Dundalk, Maryland, celebrated a significant milestone as a group of dedicated seniors graduated from the ten-week Senior Planet Computer Essentials Course. This program equipped them with essential computer skills, such as understanding digital terminology, navigating Gmail and Google Docs, and practicing internet safety. The courses were conducted on the Mobile Career Center bus, where instructors provided valuable support to the seniors.<\/p>\n

The graduating seniors demonstrated remarkable commitment by attending every session of the course, reflecting their inspiring enthusiasm and dedication. They are excited to use their new skills on Chromebooks, which will be supplied through a statewide grant from the Baltimore County Department of Aging (BCDA). This generous initiative, aimed at boosting digital literacy, was supported by the Baltimore County Department of Economic and Workforce Development.<\/p>\n

After the graduation ceremony, a reception was hosted by the regional manager and resident service manager to celebrate the seniors' achievements. The success of the program was a collaborative effort involving the regional manager and the resident service manager. Their dedication was complemented by the assistant property manager, whose contributions ensured the smooth running of the program each week. <\/p>\n
