Enterprise Community Development had a successful National Voter Registration Day on September 17, 2024. Across our Mid-Atlantic portfolio, at 34 communities, associates and associate volunteers provided hands-on support for voter registration. In just one day, we assisted more than 450 residents and registered 112 voters!<\/p>\n

This campaign was about more than just voter registration—it was about empowering residents, ensuring their voices are heard, and making voter participation a vital part of our collective future. We partnered with the National Low Income Housing Coalition<\/a><\/a> to focus on increasing voter turnout among residents with low income and raising awareness of affordable housing as a key election issue. Through this partnership, we promoted ‘Turbovote.org<\/a>’<\/a>, a simple yet powerful platform that provides residents with access to voter registration, voter status checks and critical nonpartisan election information.<\/p>\n

Additionally, residents participated in a fun Voter Bingo Card<\/strong> activity, which allowed them to share when they planned to vote. We were excited to learn that most residents who participated plan to vote early, either through absentee voting or early in-person voting. This enthusiasm for casting their votes early is a great sign of resident engagement!<\/p>\n

National Voter Registration Day also helped launch Enterprise's “Rouse Days of Service,” and more than 30 Enterprise volunteers<\/strong> worked alongside resident services and property management teams to support our voter registration efforts.
