Hollins House<\/a> residents were invited to visit their own health fair at their community! About 45 residents were in attendance and learned health tips from a variety of local organizations. They received information about proper blood pressure levels, slip and falls for seniors, how to appropriately take medication and HIV and other various health screenings. Resources were provided for topics ranging from mental health and grief counseling to signing up for Medicaid. Light refreshments were enjoyed and residents were given toiletries including toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, tissues and soap.<\/p>\n

Thank you to the following organizations and groups for providing services and resources at the health fair: Giant Food Pharmacy, MISHA House, LLC, Roberta's House, Larry Simmons, Dr. Mansour and the Student Nurses, Carl McGhee, and University of Maryland Outreach.<\/p>\n
