At our communities, we always encourage residents to expand thei
r knowledge and skillset with specialty classes. For the holiday season, Somerset Commons and Reserves at Somerset Commons were gifted with a special budgeting class taught by Resident Services Manager Lakeshia Pinder-Jackson!
During the two-day Budgeting 101/ Money Management Course, each resident received a budget book, savings book and budgeting material. They were taught different methods on how to save money, created a 12-month savings plan and learned how to differentiate between necessities and desires.
The class was a great success and ended with a graduation celebration with a dinner where each attendee was given a certificate and gift.
