Residents in senior communities are always open to new opportunities to
learn and brush up on current computer skills. A few Westminster Overlook residents decided to participate in a six-week course to learn the ins and outs of utilizing an HP Chromebrook for everyday tasks.
The training course was sponsored by the University of Maryland Extension Baltimore County Office. Digital Literacy Educator Naimani taught the course at the community twice a week over the time period. The University of Maryland Extension Office has also provided additional support for residents by sharing a presentation on artificial intelligence, how it is being used in everyday advertising and determining content that is real vs fake.
After the course was completed, the graduates received a basic computer training certificate and graduation cupcakes as a sweet treat.
