In July, our resident services team, known as Community Impact Strategies or CIS, organized and hosted a Community Day at 1330 7th Street apartments located in Washington, D.C.
This family-friendly event offered a little something for everyone.
Kids enjoyed games and a giant inflatable slide while volunteers handed out 68 backpacks filled with school supplies.
Partners including Aid to Humanity, D.C. Health, D.C. Health Link, Briya School, Smile Express Mobile Dental Van as well as the Department of Human Services joined the event to provide information and services to attendees.
In addition, residents and guests took advantage of an opportunity to connect with a representative from Stay DC to learn more about rent and utility assistance programs currently available to renters in D.C.
No Community Day would be complete without some tasty refreshments. Attendees enjoyed a variety of delectable eats including pizza, subs and sandwiches.
