Chat & Chew at Hollins House

  |     |   Community Story, Event

On Monday, July 18, Hollins House, a senior community located in Baltimore, Md., engaged in an informative  meeting about the community. Residents were provided with coffee and donuts as special guest Larry Simmons discussed resident services offered at Hollins House.

Enterprise communities' prides itself on resident services as the basis of initiatives to serve four major areas: Children & Youth Development, Health & Wellness, Economic Security & Mobility and Aging in Community. We applaud communities such as Hollins House for informing residents that they have access to on-site programming and senior supportive services that improve health literacy, access to preventative health screenings and physical fitness. Also, residents will be assessed to determine eligibility for benefits and subsidy programs that provide Medicare and Medicaid cost savings; support access to healthy foods; provide a space for social interaction; and increase ability to move around the community as needed.

Our goal is to focus on these areas so residents can live in safe and stable affordable housing, become more vested and engaged with each other and have safe socio-emotional and academic support. The biggest impact that we are achieving is that these programs will help support financial and housing stability and build a sense of community.

A special thank you to Hollins House for emphasizing the importance of resident services. We appreciate you informing your residents about what benefits they have through the community!
