It’s celebration time at Senior community Park View at Rosedale! 10 brave residents recently graduated from a 5-week Computer Essentials course produced by Baltimore County Department of Aging. They hired digital specialists that helped teach the residents how to find things on the internet, utilize Microsoft Office and navigate social media platforms. To ensure conveniency, a wheelchair accessible bus arrived on the days class was held so all the residents had to do was go out the back door of the property and put their thinking caps on!
Residents did such an amazing job during the course that they were featured on a Fox 45 local news segment showcasing the residents actively learning and practicing their newly taught skills. Many residents were excited for this opportunity to graduate because it had been a long time since they were in a formal educational setting.
A special thank you to Community Manager Janet Simmons and the Baltimore County Department of Aging for providing residents with the necessary tools to become more knowledgeable about computer essentials. We are proud of your commitment to the course and want to congratulate each resident for their hard work and determination!
