Allendale's annual Winter Gala was the perfect event to wrap up the
2022 holiday season! Residents had the opportunity to learn about the different holidays celebrated during this time of the year with information stations for Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa.
"We try to keep it religious neutral, so everyone feels comfortable to participate. However, we also try to have educational information at our events as well as just food and fun," said Property Manager Joseph Eldred.
This year's appetizing meal consisted of beef, turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, greens, green beans, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, and a candy table created by the community's staff. When residents entered the Gala, they were given a raffle ticket for a variety of drawings throughout the event. Each resident also received a gift from the staff including an instant pot, air fryer, electric candle sets, vases, bed sets, boxes of candies, throws, telescopes and more!
A magician paid a visit to the community and performed for about an hour in front of the room and visited each table for more magic fun. Afterwards, residents could take pictures on festive backgrounds set up by the Allendale staff.
