On Wednesday, April 26, Enterprise Residential's
2023 Annual Associate Training was held at Valley Mansion by Martin's in Cockeysville. The elegant and inviting space was perfect for catching up with friends and associates alike for the first time since the Associate Awards in March.
President Gayle Filo and Vice President Monica Areford introduced the training and warmly welcomed all associates and thanked them for traveling to the event.
Director of Engineering Walter Neighoff's safety presentation kicked off the day with a thorough review of his safety binder. Walter demonstrated how to use tools at the communities, shared videos on best practices for using the appropriate equipment for different emergencies and how to use properly angle and use a ladder.
Wednesday was also Administrative Assistant Day and our lovely administrative assistants, Jayme Filler, Davida Kabba and LaWan Rhodes were honored and presented with gifts from Gayle and Monica.
For lunch, associates enjoyed their choice of a turkey or ham sandwich, chicken caesar salad, chips, apples, granola bars and delicious chocolate chip cookies.
The afternoon session featured a C.R.A.S.E (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) presentation from Baltimore County Police Department Sergeant Kevin Fisher and Officer Jennifer Arnett. The presentation included real-life scenarios where unfortunate shootings occurred and the immediate aftermath and the steps and precautions to take if you are ever involved in an active shooter event.
When the training concluded, for National Pretzel Day, associates played a game of Kahoot and answered pretzel-related trivia! Everyone was also invited to try four different pretzels and vote on their favorite. Rold Gold won the popular vote! Ice cream, nachos, popcorn and chips were also served for associates to snack on.
