Park View at Coldspring remembered and honored veterans and t
hose who have served for our country by having a Memorial Day cookout. About 40 residents ate hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad and baked beans for lunch, with Xfinity donating a variety of extra drinks, snacks, and cupcakes.
As a fun bonding experience, residents teamed up to play badminton, corn hole, and volleyball set up by the site team in the landscaped courtyard. After the festivities ended, residents took home their own Memorial Day flag and folding fans to keep cool.
For dessert, residents enjoyed a cold and sweat treat – ice cream! They were able to select from a variety of flavors and topped off each of their creations with chocolate chips, chocolate and caramel sauce and nuts.
“This was my favorite event that I have attended since living at the property,” exclaimed resident Wilbert Saunders.
