Resident Services Distributes Chromebooks to Harper House Seniors

  |     |   Community Story, Event

Resident Services signature initiative Enterprise Connects aims to provide access to affordable connectivity programs and address the digital divide. In partnership with the Howard County Department of Aging, Resident Services was able to provide brand new HP Chromebooks for 42 Harper House senior residents.

The giveaway was spearheaded by Howard County Department of Aging associates Malarie Burgess and Alison Gerber, Resident Service Manager Kellie Thomas and Property Manager Marva Jenkins. With valiant efforts from the team, they were able to qualify a large percentage of the seniors at Harper House to participate in this amazing program. While waiting, residents received Chick-fil-A and light refreshments.

Associates from the University of Maryland were also on site to assist with tech support and setting up computers for residents who required additional assistance.

“This was the first computer some residents ever own, and many residents expressed sincere gratitude for the opportunity,” said Thomas.

Kudos to all associates involved with the successful distribution of Chromebooks to well deserving residents! Check out photos from the giveaway on Facebook at @EnterpriseResidential!
