Residents of Wiley Bates in Annapolis, Md., are celebrating the unveiling of a brand-new blood pressure kiosk designed to bring greater convenience and accessibility to their daily health routines.
Located within the community, the new kiosk eliminates common barriers, like lack of transportation to a doctor's office, making it easier for residents to monitor their blood pressure regularly.
Regional Resident Services Manager Lakeshia Pinder-Jackson emphasized the importance of the kiosk in promoting greater awareness. The kiosk not only makes it easier for everyone to check their blood pressure, it will also encourage regular monitoring, which can lead to early detection of hypertension or other health concerns.
The kiosk is part of Enterprise’s continued focus on health and wellness in our senior communities. Along with the new addition, resident services and property management teams shared an array of health and wellness resources including materials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the National Institutes of Health. These resources cover topics such as blood pressure monitoring, healthy eating and diabetes management, ensuring residents have the tools to lead healthier lives.
To mark the special occasion, the resident services and property management teams surprised residents by throwing an unveiling party. Residents enjoyed a delicious lunch and refreshing drinks together while learning more about the new kiosk and its many benefits.
“The residents couldn’t wait to try out the kiosk for themselves—and honestly, I was just as eager as they were,” said Pinder Jackson. Through ongoing community engagement, many residents expressed how valuable it will be to have such an easy and accessible tool right on-site to help them stay on top of their health.
The new kiosk is a step toward empowering residents to take charge of their health in a simple and accessible way. By promoting regular blood pressure checks, this tool will help foster greater health awareness and potentially lead to improved health overall.
Enterprise is excited to see how the new kiosk will enhance the well-being of residents living at Wiley Bates. We'd especially like to recognize and thank Regional Resident Services Manager Lakeshia Pinder-Jackson, whose dedication to residents and our mission, helped make the purchase of the new kiosk possible.
