Safety Presentation at Park View at Coldspring

Safety Presentation at Park View at Coldspring

  |     |   Community Story, Event

A representative from Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office recently held an informative safety presentation at Park View at Coldspring. Residents listened to details regarding new initiatives for medical emergencies and internet safety.

For the first portion of the presentation, each resident was given a special wristband to notify the police of medical emergencies. If a resident were to have a medical emergency in Baltimore City, the wristbands can be used to alert the Baltimore City Police Department. With the wristbands, the police department can easily notify emergency contacts and can identify the resident and where they live, if necessary.

Residents were also made aware of scams that seniors can potentially fall victim to, including preventing credit card fraud and negative impacts on their credit scores. They were reminded to not provide personal information to strangers and if an online deal appears too good to be true, then it more than likely is.

“The residents were excited to receive the wristbands as a new initiative in Baltimore City and look forward to BCPD returning in 2025 to enroll additional seniors and distribute wristbands for those that weren't present for this insightful event,” explained Property Manager Monique Oden.
